What We Are Doing
Birds Hill Days have introduced new guidance and safeguards for teaching and will continue with them even after restrictions are lifted, in order to give our clients and our teams a greater level of security and confidence, from July 2020.
These measures will continue until we are all certain we have come through these difficult times successfully.
It is the intention that our Instructors and trappers will now be teaching using Visors/face masks and the equipment used will be sanitised before, in between when necessary and after use.
Sanitiser/antibacterial gels and hand wipes will be readily available.
How this affects activities
Organised target shooting is now exempt from the RULE OF 6 – you can book a group of more than 6 people, as we have put in place the following measures;
For Archery we will now shoot 2 people per target in rotation rather than 3 to provide a greater social distance between archers.
Similarly, for CO2 Pistol shooting, we will now shoot 4 at a time rather than 6 to provide a greater social distance between shooters.
For Clay Pigeon shooting and CO2 Pistol shooting, our Instructors will ensure the guns and glasses are wiped down between each shooter and specifically for the Clay shooting, only disposal earplugs will be used.
This will perhaps mean that some sessions may take a little longer, but we don’t feel this will be an issue given the present circumstances.
Confidence in our approach
It is important that clients have every confidence that their activity suppliers are taking as many additional precautions as practical to keep both clients and their own teams as safe as possible, without diminishing the overall enjoyment of the experience.
As the month’s pass, it will be determined both by us and our clients how long these enhanced measures are needed by following the prevailing health advice and the use of common sense.
We will continue to provide these enhanced measures for as long as our clients would like us to continue with them or if our teams decide they would prefer them to continue.
